Beach fun and yachting
Simply relax on the beach or have an active day on board the yacht exploring the Coast.
At the Mediterraneo, you choose how to spend your day by the sea; umbrellas and loungers to relax in the sun, a dip in the crystal-clear sea, a trip on a paddle boat or canoe, or enjoy a pleasant break at the water bar on the sea for a snack and a drink. You can even take a trip on our amazing private yacht with our skipper Marco!
Hotel Mediterraneo resort offers private access to the beach “La Marinella” (one of Sorrento most famous beaches) which you can reach directly using the elevator in the hall of the hotel.
The beach services
In Sorrento the tide is high so most “beaches” are small and with platforms. The hotel has its own reserved area on the platform with sunbeds umbrellas and direct access to the sea.
Please note that:
- - Beach services are guaranteed from May 15th to September 15th. For other periods, it depends on weather/sea conditions so it is better to ask before coming.
- - Beach services are included in the room rate for all guests who book directly with us through our website or by telephone. For other guests they may be on payment (ask your travel agent).

As an alternative, Hotel Mediterraneo offers its guests Mediterraneocharter, the exclusive boat charter service for those who want to fully experience the splendid Sorrento Sea, the waters of the Punta Campanella Marine Park (before the Sorrento Peninsula), the coves and inlets of the Amalfi Coast, or the famous islands of Capri and Ischia.
The yacht
Aboard our 14-meter yacht, Princess Valeri, you will be guided by our skipper to discover some of the most romantic places along the coast for an unforgettable day.
The yacht can be rented privately or you can join one of the many excursions planned by the hotel.

For our local excursions, we have selected some of the best locations that can be reached by sea: Punta Campanella, the tip of the Sorrentine Peninsula, the coastal reserve or the mythical home of the Sirens where Ulysses was lured by their song on the stretch of sea between Punta and Capri. Legend says that Li Galli islands are the spot where the sirens dove into the sea after Ulysses refused to come to them.
We can organize nighttime tours, a sea taxi service, and lunches and dinners abroad the ship at some of the most breathtaking locations or quietly anchored in port – it’s as if you had your own boat! For information and reservations, contact us directly: info@mediterraneocharter.com
